1. LANGUISH (VERB): deteriorate (कमजोर होना) 

Synonyms: dwindle, faint 

Antonyms: develop, grow 

Example Sentence: 

If I don’t bother him, my cat will languish on the windowsill all day long. 

2. STERN (ADJECTIVE): serious (कठोर) 

Synonyms: flinty, harsh 

Antonyms: flexible, gentle 

Example Sentence: 

She gave him a stern look as she left the room. 

3. SUBSERVIENT (ADJECTIVE): deferential (अधीन) 

Synonyms: inferior, submissive 

Antonyms: disobedient, domineering 

Example Sentence: 

The little boy usually became subservient in the presence of bullies. 

4. DERIDE (VERB): mock (हंसी उड़ाना) 

Synonyms: rap, incite 

Antonyms: praise, commend 

Example Sentence: 

Atul was derided by his colleague for his foolish joke. 

5. TROUNCE (VERB): defeat overwhelmingly (दण्ड देना) 

Synonyms: bash, crush 

Antonyms: underwhelm, forfeit 

Example Sentence: 

One army managed to easily trounce the other, being nearly ten times the size of the opposing force. 

6. HYSTERICAL (ADJECTIVE): agitated (उन्मत्त) 

Synonyms: distraught, furious 

Antonyms: apathetic, indifferent 

Example Sentence: 

When finding out her mother had died, the hysterical woman screamed and cried at the top of her lungs. 

7. EXTRADITE (VERB): abandon (प्रत्यर्पित करना) 

Synonyms: apprehend, arrest 

Antonyms: hold, keep 

Example Sentence: 

Until the country receives proof of Mark’s guilt, they refuse to extradite him to local authorities.

8. WRATH (NOUN): acrimony (रोष) 

Synonyms: asperity, displeasure 

Antonyms: calmness, kindness 

Example Sentence: 

I will not testify against the gangster because I am afraid of his wrath. 

9. EXPUNGE (VERB): delete (मिटाना) 

Synonyms: destroy, obliterate 

Antonyms: create, help 

Example Sentence: 

I shall request you to please expunge the sarcastic remark from the wall. 

10. FOMENT (VERB): instigate (भड़काना) 

Synonyms: abet, arouse 

Antonyms: finish, tranquilize 

Example Sentence:

1. Pamper somebody किसी को लाड प्यार से बिगाड़ना
Sentences=> Mr Sharma Pamper his son because he provided him all luxurious facilities 
2. Get spoilt/ Get pampered बिगड़ जाना
 He was pampered all his life and doesn't know how to function in the real world.
3. Threaten somebody/ Intimidate somebody किसी को धमकी देना
 Civil war has been threatening the country for years.
4. Defame somebody किसी को बदनाम करना
We expect politicians to defame each other in an election year.
5. Leave somebody in a lurch किसी को बीच मझधार में छोड़ना

6. Roam around/ Mooch around/ Loiter फालतू घूमना

13. Fear somebody / Be scared of somebody किसी से डरना

14. Scare somebody/ Frighten somebody किसी को डराना
Maybe a little noise would frighten the animal away. 
15. Get scared/ Get frightened डर जाना
 I've never been so frightened in my life. 
16. Hush up the matter किसी मामले को दबाना / रफा दफा करना

17. Eye somebody/something किसी व्यक्ति / वस्तु पर बुरी नज़र डालना
