The Google $1 billion commitment is to create more opportunity for everyone.

This commitment is announced since 2005 in this announcement CEO of Google was announced that they help those people who have tremendous idea but they didn't have fund, So Google decided that they provide fund for these people.And this idea make huge impact.
For live example, when Google.org first funded Khan Academy, it was a single person with a big idea: provide a free, world class education to anyone, anywhere. With the help of our seed funding and ongoing support, Khan Academy now has over 59 million registered users, including 2 million registered teachers.
Now Google extend this limit they get double this fund and provide to these people. Now you read this, directing $1 billion in grants and contributing 1 million volunteer hours to nonprofits that use technology and innovation to tackle complex global challenges. Our efforts are focused in three areas where we believe we can make an impact - Education, Economic Opportunity and Inclusion.
