STORMS are developing to the west of Warwick and are expected to move across the region this afternoon, bringing the potential for flash flooding.
BOM meteorologist Andrew Bufalino said there is a band of storms developing from Millmerran to Stanthorpe and they are due to head east soon.
"There is the potential for a severe thunderstorm with heavy rain and damaging winds, that may lead to flash flooding," he said.
"We expect the storms to move across Warwick in the next few hours."
This rain event is expected to remain in the area until late tomorrow though Sunday's showers will be more sporadic.
