PRODUCT based V/S SERVICE based

People who are much more interested in latest technologies, updates of each software and always trying to learn and implement in their field are more suitable for Product Based Companies because Product based companies demand employee who can make best of their product with their passion and knowledge.
People who are soft Skilled i.e. they have good communication skills, people management, and good vibe are more suitable for Service-Based companies. Since you have to win the trust of the client which cannot be gained only by technical knowledge.

If u work at a software services company:-

  1. The project can be anything. On anything.
  2. Deadlines are mostly defined by clients.
  3. Less innovation and flexibility.
  4. More strictness and multi-tasking.
  5. The client will be dissatisfied mostly.
  6. You would get expert on the language u are working. But you cannot learn new. Because u don't have time.
  7. In case of a small scale, a company might fire you on the basis of no new projects or clients saying of our performance.
  8. You get to know about new business and projects.
  9. You are providing services.

If you are working in a product based company:-

  1. The company decides what they need and on what language and what is best for business.
  2. Deadlines are decided by internal management.
  3. You can get a little time to learn new things.
  4. Your management might not appreciate ut performance or work.
  5. You get to know more about our companies business.
  6. Product making is more appreciated than service providing.
  7. Concentrate on that one thing u have been provided.
  8. More innovation on the same line of products.
